For years, Scott Farm has been a favorite pick-your-own location for locals and visitors. This Fall, they're offering pick-your-own apples (McIntosh, Cortland, Jonagold, Spigold, Gala, Honeycrisp, to name a few) and peaches (like Contenders and Red Havens). The farm, where cultivation dates back to 1791, grows 130 varieties of heirloom apples in its orchards and also features pears, plums, cherries, berries, nectarines, medlars, and apricots. Stop by the farm store for fruit, baked goods, and Vermont-made products and to have a bite at Pippin’s Café. Check the website for picking dates and dates for other activities, from crêpe nights to the annual Heirloom Apple Day.
