At the Seven Birches Winery in the RiverWalk Resort, they are crafting more than a delightful assortment of wines. They are also producing the freshest ciders under the Rhythm Cider brand. The ciders, fermented with only premium, locally sourced fruits, are served in the winery Tasting Room, on regular tours of the production facility, and in the brand new Rhythm Tap & Grille, where you can sip delicious cider while taking in breathtaking views of the Pemigewasset River, overlooking the White Mountains. On the tour, you can meet with the people right on site who actually make the wines and ciders that you are trying. It’s a very special insiders’ look, and you’ll leave with some new favorites — and a souvenir glass.

Bishop's Orchards

Who would make more delicious fruit wines than an orchard? No one! That’s why Bishop’s Orchards is the perfect place to enjoy a wine tasting or just settle in at the wine bar (part of the farm’s original 1928 barn) with a glass of fruit wine created with the orchards’ own apples, peaches, pears, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. Sample the diverse collection of national and international-award-winning wines, sparkling wines and dry and semi-dry hard ciders made at the winery, which began operations in 2005. The bar also offers other local wines and craft beers and popular froses (wine slushes in flavors like honey peach melba). They are handcrafting marvelous wines over at the Seven Birches Winery, and you can see exactly how they do it. Take the Meet the Winemakers Winery Tour, talk to a winemaker and see how local fruits and European grape varietals are transformed into a variety of delightful wines. The winery, inside the gorgeous new Riverwalk Resort at Loon Martin, is also a lovely place to sit and sip a glass or special flight inside the tasting room or, in summer, on a patio overlooking the river. At the nearby Atrium Wine Bar in the Lincoln Village Shops, enjoy a glass inside or on the patio in the summer. A friendly staff will help you choose off a wine menu.

There’s a wine to please everyone’s palate at the Newport Vineyards, over 60 acres of vines spread across 100 acres of preserved farmland. Relax indoors in unmatched venues with a rustic yet modern feel and breathtaking vineyard views, or sit on the patio or out by the vines in an Adirondack chair. You’ll want a glass of the family owned-and-operated vineyard’s many wines to make the experience even more enjoyable: the fruit-forward cabernet Franc, perhaps, or a dry Riesling. The 1620 Winery is a fully restored historic winery and wedding and events venue on the water in Plymouth’s historic Cordage Park. With soaring 30-foot beamed ceilings, exposed brick, wide pine flooring and three roaring fireplaces, this 1800’s era maritime rope braiding facility exudes the perfect blend of history and rustic elegance. While much of the space is dedicated to hosting weddings and events, visiting groups (of 10 or more) can schedule a private winery tour/tasting hosted by the Vintner.
