A great place for family fun! Keown Farms is a 4th generation family business located on 175 acres of pristine farmland in Worcester County. Open daily from April through Christmas, the farm offers a wide variety of apples as well as pears, peaches, and many other fruits and vegetables. The farm hosts birthday parties, wagon rides and conducts tours by tractor or trailer by appointment only. Keown Farms makes their very special brand of apple blossom & wild flower honey from the farm's hives. The farm grows herbs, annuals & perennials and has fresh-cut flowers daily in season and, Pick-Your-Own apples and pumpkins in the Fall.

Newport Vineyards is a family owned winery, founded in 1978. Paul and John Nunes, whose local roots date back to 1917, purchased the winery in 1995. Since that time, the winery has grown to 50 acres of varietal and hybrid grapes. Visitors are offered public tours at 1 and 3 pm, seven days a week. These include a tour in the vineyards, a behind the scenes look at the winemaking process and a tasting of five wines. The winery features an art gallery and retail shop with wine accessories and signature clothing. Private tours and tastings for groups of ten or more are available. Newport Vineyards specializes in rehearsal dinners, corporate affairs and custom labels. The winery hours are Monday thru Saturday 10-5 and Sunday noon-5 year around. Our red roofed sugarhouse, just steps away from the water's edge, is where we make everything from maple syrup to mouth-watering maple fudge. It's also a Vermont country gift shop. Make the Green Mountain Sugar House a planned stop whenever you're in the area... you'll be glad you did! Browse through our well stocked gift shop full of fine Vermont products. During the months of March and April watch some of Vermont's best maple syrup being made in our sugarhouse, or drop in for a self-guided tour. We are open year-round, daily 9-6. The Harlow Family has been a part of the New England tradition of sugarmaking since 1927. If you are in Vermont, stop by to visit. The farm sales room and Vermont gift shop are open daily, from March 1st 'til late December. During the sugaring season, the Harlow’s are happy to have you stop in to watch the process. You might also enjoy visiting during the summer months, when you can pick-your-own or purchase ready-picked strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. In September when the maple trees display their brilliant colors, the apple trees are laden down with crisp red fruit. You can pick your own apples in our orchard or visit our cider mill to watch fresh cold apple cider being pressed.

The Audubon Environmental Education Center is a state-of-the art natural history museum and aquarium that puts fun and excitement into experiencing nature. Look inside a 33-foot life size Right Whale. Discover life in a tide pool. Observe Narragansett Bay’s marine life. The Center’s interactive exhibits feature local habitats. Situated on the 28-acre McIntosh Wildlife Refuge the Environmental Education Center has walking trails with a ¼ mile boardwalk that winds through fresh and saltwater marshes leading to a majestic view of Narragansett Bay. The refuge is along the East Bay Bike Path allowing bikers and walkers access to the refuge’s natural beauty. A fifth generation farm in Bolton Massachusetts, Bolton Orchards is much more than a country store. Today, 250 acres are in active production, yielding many varieties of apples, peaches, pears, nectarines, plums, sweet corn, tomatoes, squash and pumpkins. The Orchard also produces two unique varieties of fresh pressed cider. A full line of groceries, baked goods, and a deli compliment the produce. The deli offers daily specialties, a variety of prepared foods, meats, cheese and salads. Bolton Orchards also offers fruit baskets, shippable gifts, fresh flowers, seasonal bedding plants, Christmas Trees and in season potted plants. Carlson Orchards was founded in 1936 by Walter and Eleanor Carlson. In the late sixties, the farm specialized in fruits with apples being the main crop. Carlson Orchards is a 140 acre working farm run by the second generation of Carlsons. The Carlsons are dedicated to growing the best tree fruits, blueberries, raspberries, and pumpkins as well as producing the best tasting apple cider available anywhere. Carlson Orchards now grows fruit on 140 acres producing 40,000 bushels of apples, 5,000 baskets of peaches and nectarines and over 500,000 gallons of apple cider annually. Pick your own fruit offered to the public seasonally. The retail store is open 10 to 5 daily. "Pick Your Own" closes promptly at 5 pm.
