🎭 Dr. Korczak and the Children
Four actors attempt to tell the harrowing true story of Janusz Korczak—a Jewish doctor who chose to remain with the orphaned children in his care, even as it meant facing death in the Holocaust. But how can anyone truly step into the minds of the victims—or the villains?

Written in 1957 by Erwin Sylvanus and translated by George E. Wellwarth, this powerful metatheatrical drama asks: “What’s it to you what happened in Poland in 1940 and 1942?” In 2025, confronting these truths through art feels more urgent than ever.

🎭 Directed by: Rebecca Maxfield
🗣 “Head Trick Theatre is clearly fighting above its weight… such bold choices have led to creative accomplishments and no shortage of accolades.” —Bob Abelman, The Boston Globe / Motif Magazine

A portion of proceeds will benefit UNICEF, supporting food and medical humanitarian aid for children in need.
