Digital Advertising Sales

VisitNewEngland.com is seeking an experienced account representative. Online since 1996 we are the leading travel website for the region. This is a distinct opportunity for a professional, outgoing, and motivated individual with digital media sales experience.  Additional experience in the travel and hospitality sales and marketing fields is helpful.  Our advertisers thrive across our website, social media and email when guided by our professional staff.

Responsibilities

  • Working with current advertisers to increase sales that lead to greater viewer engagement
  • Cold calling new clients using telephone, email, and in-person visits
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and tourism marketing organizations
  • Maintain detail records
  • Represent VisitNewEngland.com at industry trade shows
  • Meeting monthly sales goals

Requirements

  • Previous media sales experience. Contacts within the New England travel and tourism industries is a plus
  • Experience with digital advertising, social media, and marketing tools
  • A strong work ethic and honesty
  • A motivated self –started who can work remotely or from our Rhode Island office
  • Ability to qualify potential advertisers
  • Cold calling skills and a persuasive manner that moves clients toward closing the sale
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • A professional home office environment if the candidate is working remotely
  • Vehicle, properly insured and valid driver’s license
  • Occasional overnight travel
